Mind Wide Open

I got to D.C. about two months ago to start my Master’s Degree. I’m studying Journalism and Public Affairs at American University. Since the very first day, I had to start thinking in a different way. Open my eyes, my ears, listen. Think.

I am no longer sure I will end up working at a newspaper. But I am more sure than ever that I am going to write, read and be read.

“Everything is going online,” professors said all the time, sice the very first day. And yes, I check almost all the news I read online, but I didn’t think of it as the new big media. Convergent media. Video, audio and text on the same place.

So I’ve decided to forget that I’m only going to work with words. I will bring pictures, audio and video to this place.

It’s my experiment. 
          It’s my start.
                     My mind wide open.
